We kindly invite you to the opening of the exhibition To the fore VI: Slovenian female architects, builders and designers, which will be held on Monday, March 6, 2023, at 7 p. m., in the DESSA gallery.

The architectural exhibition To the fore VI: Slovenian female architects, builders and designers was created under the curatorship of the CAS (Architectural Center of Slovenia) in cooperation with DESSA gallery. It sheds light on an overlooked part of Slovenian female architectural and design creation and highlights those works from the rich architectural oeuvre of the 20th and 21st centuries that are rarely exhibited and put on public view, but no less important, high-quality and multifaceted. The selected works thus represent the more important project creations of generations of Slovenian women creators, which, taking into account the time, conditions and the role of women at the time of their creation, must be viewed in a different light. The exhibition multifacetedly reveals the quality works and complex ideas of individual authors and thus presents the work and life of female architects, builders and designers, graduates of Edvard Ravnikar, Miloš Bonča, Vladimir Braco Mušič, Janez Suhadolc and Jože Koželj. Exhibitors are: Judita Danila Černič Zupančič, Monika Fink Serša, Maruška Kotnik, Maja Tasić Demšar, Darja Mrevlje Pollak (1947-2008), Mojca Švigelj Černigoj, Andreja Jug, Evita Lukež, Jadranka Grmek and Ilka Čerpes.

The exhibition will be on display until 13th April 2023.
