We are extending the exhibition!

We would like to inform you that we are extending the duration of the exhibition DESSA 35. First Slovenian Architecture Gallery. The exhibition will be on display until October 9, 2024.

You are kindly invited.

On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the DESSA Gallery, on Thursday, June 20, at 7 p.m., we cordially invite you to DESSA Gallery for the opening of the exhibition DESSA 35. The First Slovenian Architecture Gallery and gathering.

On April 17, 1989, DESSA architectural gallery opened its doors, at that time with the first Plečnik laureates exhibition. Since then, it has been actively promoting quality architecture, its artistic dimension and critical thinking. With its activities and program, it has become a central place for connecting architects, designers, photographers and related creators of different generations.

With the exhibition DESSA 35, we celebrate 35 years of the gallery's operation: we look back, we remember the establishment and construction of the gallery, the main protagonists Majda Cajnko and Andrej Hrausky, their invaluable role in the design and operation of the gallery and in the international establishment of Slovenian architecture, all loyal members and supporters of DESSA gallery, exhibitions and events in the last eleven years under the leadership of Maja Ivanič and her colleagues, and the latest success - the declaration of the interior of the gallery as a cultural monument of local importance.

We congratulate the members and colleagues of DESSA Gallery. We would like to thank everyone who contributed their sketches, plans, objects, photographs for DESSA 35 exhibition ... At the same time, we would like to thank all the exhibitors, curators, organizers, sponsors and supporters for creating a program that enriches Slovenian cultural and architectural space for 35 years.
