The President of the Assembly of the Jože Plečnik Fund, the mayor of Ljubljana Mr. Zoran Janković, invites you to the Plečnik Award 2020 ceremony, which will take place on Monday, June 22, at 6 pm in the garden of Plečnik's house in Ljubljana at Karunova ulica 4-6. In case of rain, the award ceremony will take place in the atrium of the City Museum of Ljubljana.
The exhibition of 2020 Plečnik Awards recipients works will be on display from 22 June to 1 July 2020 in Ljubljana, in the open-air city gallery on the Krakovski nasip along the Ljubljanica river in Ljubljana. On Monday, June 29, at 7 pm, the awarded authors and the jury will prepare a guided tour of the exhibition.
A printed catalogue of the exhibition in Slovene and English language was also published.
The winners and nominees will be announced after 22 June 2020 on the website http://drustvo-dal.si/

The Plečnik Awards are the most prominent professional awards in the field of contemporary architectural production in Slovenia. Each year, the Jože Plečnik Fund awards three types of recognitions to works, selected by expert jury members and created by Slovenian authors within the past five years. The Plečnik Award is the most prestigious and important among them. The Plečnik Medal is awarded for recent realisations, for contributions in the field of architectural theory, criticism and professional publishing, or for contributions in enriching architectural culture. The Student Prize is awarded as an encouragement for quality contributions.
The Plečnik Award 2020 ceremony were made possible by members and contributors to the Jože Plečnik Fund, Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia, Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning and The City of Ljubljana. The Plečnik awards 2020 exhibition was supported by Turizem Ljubljana and Wienerberger.

The private institute DESSA architectural center has the status of a non-governmental organization that works in the public interest in the field of culture (Ministry of Culture) and in the field of spatial planning (Ministry of Natural Resources and Spatial Planning).
The interior of Gallery DESSA at Židovska steza 4 in Ljubljana, designed by architect Boris Podrecca in 1988, has been declared a cultural monument of local importance in March 25, 2024.
