STUDIO UP
Lea Pelivan (Split, 1976) and Toma Plejić (Rijeka, 1977) graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb in 2001 and established STUDIO UP in 2003. STUDIO UP, Zagreb-based firm, concerns itself with contemporary architecture and urbanism. Lea & Toma won Mies van der Rohe Award – Emerging Architect Special Mention in 2009. They represented Croatia at the Venice Biennale with the “Frameworks” pavilion in 2004 and with the floating ‘pavilion.hr‘ in 2010. STUDIO UP participated at 2nd & 3rd Rotterdam biennale and Shenzhen & Hong Kong Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism and Architecture with Gizmo pavilion for the “Ultra Light Village” Exhibition in 2012. Since 2008 they are assistant professors at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy in Split.

DESSA gallery is an Advisory Committee Member, which presents the most important European awards for architecture, the EUmiesAwards.
The private institute DESSA architectural center has the status of a non-governmental organization that works in the public interest in the field of culture (Ministry of Culture) and in the field of spatial planning (Ministry of Natural Resources and Spatial Planning).
The interior of Gallery DESSA at Židovska steza 4 in Ljubljana, designed by architect Boris Podrecca in 1988, has been declared a cultural monument of local importance in March 25, 2024.
