We kindly invite you to the opening of the exhibition To the fore VII: Slovenian female architects, builders and designers, which will be held on Monday, March 4, 2023, at 7 p. m., in the DESSA gallery.
The architectural exhibition To the fore VII: Slovenian female architects, builders and designers, prepared by the Center of Slovenian Architecture and the France Stele Art History Institute ZRC SAZU, sheds light on an overlooked part of Slovenian female architectural, construction and design creation from the rich architectural oeuvre of the 20th and 21st centuries. The exhibition highlights those works that are rarely exhibited and placed on public view, but, taking into account the time, conditions and position of women, no less important, high-quality and multifaceted. This time, graduates of Jože Plečnik, Edvard Ravnikar, Edo Mihevc, Janez Koželj and Vladimir Brezar are presented:
Bogomila Avčin Pogačnik, 1920–2008
Katarina Bebler, 1942
Neda Dobovišek, 1909–1992
Nadja Furlan Lorbek, 1932–1998
Jana Gojanovič Purger, 1955
Marlena Humek Pehani, 1941–2006
Alenka Lenarčič Jeršek, 1930–2003
Sonja Miculinić, 1956
Petra Paškulin, 1961
Marjetica Pirkmajer Kregar, 1925–2015
The exhibition will be on display until April 4, 2024.
